Programs and supports Aspen Ridge First Nation offers members. If you are not sure who to ask, call the band office and they will point you to the right person.
Health
Assessment, prescriptions, referrals and chronic disease care. Book ahead; a small number of same-day spots are held each clinic day.
Immunization, prenatal and postnatal care, communicable disease follow-up and school health.
Nursing and personal care at home, wound care and medication support.
Rides to appointments in Edmonton and Wetaskiwin. Call at least three business days ahead with the appointment letter. Claims are made under Non-Insured Health Benefits.
Diabetic and general foot care with the visiting nurse.
Mental wellness
Counsellors and a cultural helper. You do not need a referral, and you do not have to be in crisis to call.
After-hours response for a mental health crisis, a death in the community or a critical incident. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
Addictions & recovery
One-to-one counselling, treatment referrals, and help with the intake paperwork for residential programmes.
Open group for anyone home from treatment or working on their recovery. Coffee, no sign-in.
Culture-based programme at the ceremonial grounds with Elders, hunting and ceremony. Spaces are limited; apply through the Wellness Centre.
Family & children
Family support workers, kinship care, and advocacy with provincial child intervention. Delegated under our own child and family services agreement.
Parent group, infant weigh-ins and the family cooking programme.
Safety planning, shelter access and court support. Confidential.

Tuition, books and living allowance under the Post-Secondary Student Support Program. Apply early — funding is allocated in one round.
High-school upgrading, safety tickets, and referrals to trades pre-apprenticeship programmes.
Income & financial help
Housing
Apply for a unit, check where you are on the list, and ask about the housing policy. Repairs go through the maintenance request on the Housing page.
Non-emergency repairs and the annual renovation programme. For no heat, no water or anything unsafe, call — do not use the form.

Open to everyone, all levels. Elders lead the conversation circle at 7:30.
Arranging Elders, ceremony protocol, funeral and wake support, and the cultural items the Nation keeps for community use.
